Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada, the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in numerous television series. She was born in Kabul Afghanistan her family fled their home country to the US and was granted the right to stay in the US as asylum seekers. Ghanizada is the middle sibling of two sisters and was brought up within Northern Virginia. Ghanizada started her TV career through appearances on National Commercials. Ghanizada received a nomination for best actress at the festival film in 2004's Laura Neri movie A Kiss on the Nose. The actress played the role of Chiara. The TV shows she guest starred in are How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars the Wedding Bells NuMB3RS bones Psych as well as Castle. She most recently played a supporting character for the film Blood Shot (2009). Also, she was an independent comedian for You Only Better 2009. Ghanizada started her acting career in 2008 when she was a part of the team for the General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. as Dr. Saira Bhata, an expert in holistic health care in the second season of Night Shift.
