Finch, who was born in the city of La Mirada, California. at the age of 5years old, started playing softball at the age of five. Doug his father, Doug, became her first pitching teacher. Jennie began using the Finch Windmill when she was 10. In high school Jennie pitched a perfect six-inning games and 13 no-hitters. Following graduation, she attended in the University of Arizona and was recognized as a three-time All American pitcher as and a first-baseman. The Honda Award, given to the top players in softball during 2001 when the Wildcats won the title of champions in national competition and, in 2002, was won by her. The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team (WWAST) mission is to create awareness through shows and popular softball matches of the sacrifices, perseverance and dedication of our troops and to highlight the ability of these athletes to overcome any obstacle. It is our goal to demonstrate amputees as well with the general population that athletes are able to play their preferred sport with a lot of conditioning and rehabilitation. Paul Pierce, a group of top athletes, and Jennie work together to fight the growing obesity crisis across America. To accomplish this, the goal is to shift the way we think the way we live and our attitude. In an age when the physical education curriculum is cut for lack of funds and where school lunches can be unhealthy, nPLAY designs programmes that are designed to encourage children and encourage them to take healthy food choices.
